学校前身
On May 4th of 1996, in
a small apartment room, a class was held.
There were only 8 students and 1
teacher, but infinitely many optimistic hopes. The common goal was
to learn the Chinese language and appreciate the Chinese culture.
This small group of people, with unity and desire, achieved what later
became the Great Wall Chinese School.

The Great Wall Chinese School was
established by the CCCEA, or
California Chinese Engineering Association.
 |
Today, the school has about
80 students of all ages divided into 7 classes by various Chinese skill
levels. Aside from these students, with parents and all, the
school becomes a very large weekly gathering. There are numerous
activities the school is or was involved in aside from schooling.
Men use the gym at Sacramento High School for a weekly workout in
basketball, and at times the ladies even practice dancing for a special
upcoming event.
